About RollerCoaster Tycoon

RollerCoaster Tycoon is the 1999 theme park simulation classic that let a generation build, manage, and ride their dream amusement parks. You start with an empty plot and a budget, then build paths, shops, and — the star of the show — roller coasters. The coaster designer is the game's heart: you lay out every twist, drop, and loop, test the ride, and watch guests scream with joy (or terror). Beyond building, you manage park finances, staff, prices, and the happiness of individual guests, each with their own simulated preferences. The game's charm lies in its balance of creative freedom and economic depth, and its legacy is enormous — it remains one of the best-selling PC games ever made. The modern Planet Coaster and Parkitect continue its legacy with updated graphics.
