About The Stanley Parable
The Stanley Parable is a genre-defying narrative game about choice, free will, and the nature of games themselves. You play Stanley, an office worker whose mundane routine is interrupted when every colleague vanishes — and a narrator begins describing your every action. The twist is that the narrator's story only works if you follow it: you can disobey, wander, or do the opposite of what he says, and each choice branches into entirely different rooms, endings, and meta-commentary. The game is built on repetition and discovery, where exploring every path reveals jokes, secrets, and existential observations about gaming and storytelling. The 2013 remake added new endings and the Ultra Deluxe edition expanded it further with hours of new content. It is short, brilliant, and unforgettable — a game that plays with the player as much as the player plays it.
