About Metroid Prime

Metroid Prime reimagined the classic Metroid side-scroller as a first-person adventure, and it is widely considered one of the greatest games ever made. You play bounty hunter Samus Aran, exploring the planet Tallon IV after a distress signal leads you to a world corrupted by a mysterious substance called Phazon. The game keeps the series' signature design — a single interconnected world where new abilities like the Morph Ball, Grapple Beam, and Visor upgrades open previously unreachable areas — but viewed through a first-person visor that makes scanning, locking on, and exploring feel fresh and immersive. Its atmospheric soundtrack, eerie environments, and sense of isolation set a standard for the genre, and the remastered version brought stunning modern graphics to the original masterpiece. It is the first entry in the Prime sub-series, which later expanded with two sequels.
