About Dying Light (video game)
Dying Light is a first-person action survival game set in Harran, a city quarantined after a zombie outbreak. Its defining feature is parkour: you sprint, jump, and climb across rooftops to escape the infected who flood the streets at night. By day you scavenge supplies, complete missions, and craft weapons from scrap; when the sun sets, the most dangerous zombies — including the terrifying Volatiles — come out, and staying off the streets becomes a matter of life and death. Combat is visceral, with a repair-and-craft weapon system that keeps you constantly scavenging, and the drop-in co-op lets friends fight through the story together. The game also includes a competitive zombie mode where players can take on the role of the infected. Its blend of Mirror's Edge-style movement and Dead Island-style combat made it a hit, and a sequel, Dying Light 2, expanded the formula with a larger city and more choices.
